Remove Delta Search Virus (Delta-Search.com Removal)

Delta Search is a search engine, which is used by third parties to promote their websites or products. Having in mind that this particular search engine is not popular, a browser hijacker was created which is compatible with all major browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, IE etc. When the hijacker infects the computer it sets the Delta Search as the default search engine, furthermore it might also adjust home page settings or bookmarks. The malware also performs constant browser redirections leading to various websites, which eventually become really annoying. Moreover, every time you open a new browser tab the official Delta-Search.com website appears in it.

Delta Search Virus

The search engine is quite useless as it provides sponsored results which might differ greatly from the ones given by Google or other major engines. The results usually contain various advertisements, commercial links or could even be the source of other malicious applications. That’s why it is not recommended to use this untrustworthy website and remove the browser hijacker as soon as possible.

Installation files of various freeware may contain Delta Search browser hijacker. The source of this malicious program could even be a well known program such as Skype messenger. Although it is also possible to download the hijacker on its own. If so, the toolbar provided by the malicious program might differ from the one which came along with the ‘bundled’ version.

MixiDj is another program associated with the browser hijacker. After the installation of this application is complete the malware changes browser home page to delta-searh.com and sets the Delta Search as the default search engine as well. Unfortunately, after the desired program is uninstalled the browser settings are not restored to the previous ones. As a result, you have to delete the Delta Search from the browser on your own.
