Remove Certified Toolbar Search

Certified Toolbar Search, also known as Search.Certified-Toolbar.com is a browser hijacker that changes your browser homepage, default search engine and causes browsing redirects.

Certified Toolbar

Once installed, Certified Toolbar alters DNS settings and hijacks main browsers, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla and Internet Explorer. That results in continuous redirections to domain search.certified-toolbar.com.

Certified Toolbar collects all information about victims activity, logs every website you visit. All gathered data is sent to marketing companies or cyber criminals. Certified Toolbar usually comes via various codecs and software bundles. The company that has developed the adware pays $1.6 per install for their affiliates, and this is the reason why it is exploited by cyber criminals or unfair marketers.

Every time you are going to install new software, look for some information about it on the internet. Make sure the developers and distributors are trustworthy. When you install software always choose “Custom Installation” mode. By doing this you will be able to see all the additional applications which are about to be installed with the desired program.
